"from friday oct 31-sunday nov 2 there is a virtual sit-in, or online demonstration, or floodnet action against the mexican government for sticking the head in the sand while hundreds of women are being killed and disappear in ciudad juarez close to the US border. the idea is that the website of the mexican government is blocked by this.

also there is an online petition, material to download, actions in many cities in the US mainly, in Mexico of course and someother places. so far in New York, Washington DC, El Paso, Phoenix, San Francisco, Portland Oregon, Minneapolis (alle USA), Madrid, Valencia (Spain), Tokyo (Japan) and Paris (France). a conference in Los Angeles.

i'd love to see a feature on www.indymedia.org calling to participate in the actions, the floodnet action and that reports about the actions.

who wants to participate? there is already a german feature http://germany.indymedia.org/2003/10/64241.shtml, in german obviously, which has lots of pictures and links to english and spanish speaking websites. please use the material - if someone wants to translate, or translate parts of it i think this could be useful for others.
