below there is the thrid version of a womyn's only statment. it is remix of the linux chix statment plus some ideas that came up in the list. please collaborate! And let's try to keep this in an organized way. So if you change sometingh in the text, please also change the version, thus we can keep track of improvments.

Statment on women/womyn-only v.03

This is a "women only" collective, which also extends to the membership of the list. This way we aim to provide a good environment and a safe place to discuss media and gender activism, the roles gender issues play in our daily lives and political struggles.

Thus, we are "women-only" and open to anyone for whom the answer to the question "What gender are you?" is more interesting, diverse, non-binary, revolutionary etc. than just "Male" or "Female."

Subscribing to the list requires presentation and it is up to you to decide whether the list is or isn't appropriate for you.

We acknowledge that we won't be able to solve the gender/sex binary/hierarchy problem through statements or discussions, but we believe we can help bring about the needed change by being against patriarchal rules and oppression in our actions.
