Boundary to Brigdes tour 2003/2004 from Almeria (Spain) to Saint Louis (Senegal)
Programm
In the south of of spain, the region of andalusia, will be the gathering of people from europe and all the rest of the world. The tribes will gather in fall 2003 to commonly form the first euro-african – caravane.
Andalusia was the historic center and symbol of peaceful and productive interaction of all cultures under the umbrella of mutual respect and tolerance before the spanish-catholic reqonquista in the 15. century. Muslims, christians and jews used to live here to their mutual benefit. The Street of Gibraltar was a bridge in that time, not a boundary as it is today.
The people gathering in south of spain are missing this bridge in face of the regime of the fortress europe. The people of the crawan want to express their opposition towards the schengen policy of the european union. They want to positivly start rebuilding the brigde over the Street of Gibraltar.
Every Region the caravane passes will be the place of festivals, put together commonly by the caravane people and the local people involved. Though every festival will take place in the spirit of the caravane, also all festivals will be different in typ of main focus issues and their very form, depending on the regional and local preparation and understanding of the caravan.
