- 1, They can promote their organisation
- 2, They can meet with film makers, web designers and IT specialists who may be prepared to volunteer or undertake paid work for them to improve their materials.
- 3, It will be decent night out, not 'work'.
- 4, They can learn how to use a free website (BIMC) to promote thier cause to 600 visitors per day.
Idea for CD rom. How about producing a CD rom video that is a kind of 'how to' guide covering the areas discussed in the workshops? Details of idea circulated on list.

Back for a second year - Bristol Indymedia's community Media Day
This whole day event is a unique opportunity for people to come along, learn new skills and discuss issues surrounding grass-roots media. The line up this year includes DIY radio workshops, how to make your own magazine, DIY record labels, understanding media and how to get the most out of it, film workshops and the chance to have a detailed hand-holding session on how to use indymedia to promote your community concerns. Whether you are media savvy or just keen to be heard, all are welcome.
The whole event is topped off with a multi-media-live music mash-up extravaganza. Don't just sit there consuming, take control and become your own media mogul!

This whole day event is a unique opportunity for people to come along, learn new skills and discuss issues surrounding grassroots media. The line up this year includes workshops about the importance of community media (Rob Mitchell & Shawn Napthali), DIY print publishing (Bristle magazine), distributing video over the internet (plugincinema.com), subverting the mainstream media message, and setting up a DIY record label/ shop (Death$ucker Records).
The whole event is topped off with a multi-media-live music mash-up extravaganza. Come for the whole day or just drop in. Don't just sit there consuming, take control and become your own media mogul!
