Like most activist networks, alternative initiatives and all those individuals who do not accept the established order, the network of free and independent information that is Indymedia is currently (once again) under the pressure of the police and justice. Both the host of the Indymedia Paris website and the administrator of the CNT (National Confederation of Workers)'s site have been summonsed by the police.
Indymedia Paris and the CNT are accused of having circulated calls for action against the company known as "Bouygues", as well as summaries of events in the context of these calls to action. You can read a compilation of the numerous measures undertaken against Bouygues as well as the reasons for which they were carried out here.
Through these accusations, it is the freedom of expression of all those who fight capitalism that is being attacked. Indeed, the Indymedia websites based in Nantes, Nice, Marseille, Lille, Grenoble, Toulouse, Liège, Quebec and many others (in particular those of the CNT, also threatened with repression) have circulated the calls for action against Bouygues.
The intimidations we face today are part of a general offensive that has been reinforced under the pretext of "anti-terrorism", and we can see here the consequences of all the legislation made recently that aims to turn us into auxiliaries of the police . We have not been successful in stopping these laws from being voted: Let us now fight together against their application and force those who legislate against us to abolish these laws.
No surprise then, as usual: everywhere, all the time, we will fight, we will disobey!
