Edinburgh Media Centre Facilities

Legally hired building secured. Central City Location
Covering preiod MONDAY 27th June - Sunday 10th July

Glasgow Media Centre Facilities

Several groups are collaborating towards Glasgow base. Several venues are being looked at - one is available for more of an info-space and some video editing - the other will be a small open access media space.

Convergence Campsite Media Access Points

Depending on how things develop there's a desire to set up media access facilities / media centres where ever the main convergences of people will be. Convergence accomodation and camping sites are still under negotiation.

Mobile Media Centre Schedules

Since many events may take place over a wide distance and many in rural areas without indymedia infrastructure it will be be necessary to organise mobile units. Details will be posted here.

Corporate Media Centres

Main G8 Media Centre @ Gleneagles

Access only via G8 Press Accreditation. Located at Equestrian Centre at Gleneagles Hotel where the Summit takes place.

G8Alternatives Media Centre

Will be located in central Edinburgh as a space for corporate journalists and should include a press conference room available to different groups

Other G8 Mobilisations Infrastructure

Details of other major accomodation centres, info-points and so on will be posted here.

Transport

This should contain relevent transport links - for trains, planes, buses, coaches etc - prices and timetables - for getting to Scotland and travelling around the local areas
