We'll need an explanation somewhere (e.g. http://japan.axxs.org/member ) of the merits of creating an account. What are the merits anyway, from the user POV?

• The source of this should be site-customisable content in a message on the site. Use an option in the config file to render (include) this when calling controllers/member_controller.rb.

PROPOSAL I would make it clear--> PLEASE CHECK THE LANGUAUGE. THIS WILL HELP PEOPLE DISPLAY ONLY THOSE ARTICLES THEY WISH TO SEE USING SETTINGS (LINK)

When you fill out the form, you get a message:

Your email address was used to create an account. etc. - this must be gettexted, i.e. the ja.po file should be able to provide translation strings.

DONE: focus: Give a rating of how strongly this resource is related to ...

G/paul/nate: "Give a rating of how strongly this resource is related to selected focus" is rather unclear, even t an English speaker. Maybe because so few of use used that facilty of voting in the past, we have not yet assimilated it into our thinking. "is related to selected focus" -- isn't there a way to make that "is related to blah blah blah" where blah blah blah displays the name of the focus it's been categorized as?

• does it need to be one sentence? "Does this article belong in the focus [blah blah blah]? Rate it! (1 - no it doesn't, 5 - yes it does)
