For a long time trying to get a subsection set up........

Lancaster Indymedia is a collective aiming to provide a communication hub through which to collect and transmit information emanating from the local, regional and global levels. The collective is affiliated with the Indymedia network and is dedicated to providing grass-roots, non-corporate coverage of "the news". Activities include film screenings (see Kinematograph below), skill-shares, newsheets, work on the UK indymedia website and setting up a Lancaster Indymedia website.

Kinematograph is a Lancaster Indymedia Project that organises film nights on campus and in town, showing films you won't find on telly. Kinematograph uses film to get people thinking and showings are usually followed by animated discussions (in the pub). We now have our own video projector and screen plus lots of seating, so expect lots of groovy cimena in the Basement! Check the Calendar for dates.
