Indymedia in México

The presence of Indymedia in Mexico has a different story in its own networking zones, even that, we can consider the year 2000 as its borning point. There exist archives saved from October 2000

Chiapas - Mexico - Oaxaca (construyendo) - Sonora (desactivado) - Tijuana - Yucatan (construyendo)

This alive process is resulting of a collective research of colaborative tools based on the philosophical principies of the WWW and shares the general animous of the construction of autonomous media communication.

In this walking we incorporated teh revision of mechanisms of administration and participation of the resourses intially adopted from the Indymedia Network to deveolp ours own, human resourses based on our social, cultural and political reality.

After varios months of collective experimentation based in the software Slashcode that gave us a first thematical organization and by sections of the information published in the site, there get incorporated editorial network groups in faraway places form tha capitol of the city, México DF.

Actually the local collectives of Oaxaca y Yucatan develop their own organizative process that eventually will become local IMCs.

* Since novembre 2005, the site IndyMEX^? migrated totally its administrative system into the format TikiWiki , which improves the open colaboration (instead of the before open publishing) . It provides of modules such as thematical and personal weblogs, document and image galleries, as some other things. *
