portland indymedia is a somewhat unique independant media center. There is no pdx indy collective, rather pdx indy is a collection of collectives that collborate on the website portland indymedia. Every Saturday there are discussions about the website that are nominally open to everyone and usually have representatives from each collectives to discuss updates, new projects, or just share ideas.

The people that have gathered around this website have diverse ideas on some topics, helping make pdx indy a popular, though controversial imc in the greater global network.
