Aims of the 2005 UK Network Meeting

1. To plan indymedia structures around the G8 summit.

• To form working groups
  • Video?
  • Audio?
  • Photo?
  • Media centre?

  • SMS to newswire (via IRC dispatch?) is a must
• To set deadlines for those working groups

If there is a planning meeting in Scotland a lot of the detail can be held back. However, either way a lot of implementation is going to have to be discussed here...

2. To provide a forum to discuss UK and Global network wide issues

Tech

• New server processes see UkServerProcess and TravenInfo

Political

• Server Seizure - Legal Steps Pending

• Editorial guidelines

• How hidden is hidden - how inaccessable should hidden articles be?

• Guidelines for deleting articles (as opposed to hiding)

Organisational

• Legal entities see UkLegalConstitution

• Views on how to decentralise

3. To provide a space for indymedia activists to meet

• Formally at the meeting
• Informally at a event?

4. Sharing Video Resources, free software, Indymedia artwork and other useful resources

• Bring along external harddrives if you have them for Video and Audio.
• Bring digital copies of your flyers, they maybe useful for other local collectives.
• Bring software to share.

There's no doubt that, to most people, TWiki at first seems a bit odd. Why?
