Okay, lets get right down to it.

There is a feature that has been syndicated from a local imc, that means it shows up on the Syndicated Feature wire (the right hand side of the indy.us frontpage). You think that the feature is great for whatever reson and now you want to move it from the right column to the center column.

The first thing to do is log into admin. In the left hand column of admin, under the header "articles" you will find a selection titled "syndicated local feature" choose that.

THis will take you to a page where all of the syndicated local features exist. You can do a couple of thing shere:

1. You can tick the box 'promote to center column' this will take the feature as it is and promote to the center column. THis is the simplest thing to do.

2. You can add topics to the article. TO do this, you go to edit the article and will be met by a bunch of topics that you can tick, tick the relvant topics.

3. You can edit the article. Why would you want to edit the article? a. if there are more features on the particular subject from different imc's, you can add those links at the bottom. If THere were a relevant topic page on us imc, you could add a link to that at the bottom. You can fix links that are broken. b. if the originating indymedia site has an image with that feature that didnt syndicate, you can add that into the feature.
