Working definations for Terms used in MIR
Topic Page: A topic page is for a theme, such as "Drug War." This is something that is an ongoing.
Action page: An action page is for a special event or action. This is something that will have a lot of coverage in a short period of time. For example, the Taco Bell Truth Tour 2005.
Workpad: The Workpad for Indy.us is on the wiki for Indy.us. This a place for working on a feature (or such) before actually publishing it to the website. This is a great space to work on collaberative features.
Startpage-special: A Startpage-special is a breaking news feature that remains at the top of the center column of the homepage, even after a new featured is created or a local feature is promoted to the center column.
Topicpage-special: A Topicpage-special is a breaking news feature that remains at the top of the center column of a topic page.
Syndicated Local Feature: A Syndicated Local Feature is a feature from a local IMC which is in the right column of the homepage.
Promoted Local Feature: A Promoted Local Feature is a feature from a local IMC which has been promoted to the center column of the homepage and topic pages. The URL will direct viewers to the article on the local IMC.
Feature: A Feature is an article which has been created as a new article and located in the center column. The URL will direct viewers to the full article located on IMC-US.
