There are a few ways to upload images to the server. You can post a new article with the images in it and that will get the image into the database, or if you have an image that is specific for an article or for an existing feature (like an image that didnt syndicate), you can do this through admin.

THe most important thing to remember is that you must have the image saved on your computer, you dont need to keep it on your computer, so it can be done from anywhere. On a PC, you just right-click the image and choose 'save image as...' and choose an easy place to store it for the time being.

Okay, inside admin, you first need to find the article that you want the image to be a part of. Find the article and choose the edit function. Scroll all the way down to the bottom of the article and there will exist on the right hand side a small box that says 'attachments'.

If you are adding an image that already exists on the imc us server (like you posted it as a new article) choose 'add image.' If you are uploading from admin, choose 'upload image.' -- it is important to not that if you are creating a new article in mir, the attachments box will onyl show after you have inserted the article into the database.

THis is what the 'upload image' interface has as options:

Number of Media Items (max 20) :

Media folder:
author:
description:
source:
remarks (for internal use):

published :

title:

Choose the number of media items, most usually it is only one. Choose a media folder, open posting is fine, unless you have a specific media folder you would like to store it in. author, description, source, and remarks CAN BE LEFT BLANK, however, if they are left blank it will be harder to find the image since these fields are used for searching in the future. It is generally nice to put a descriptive term for the image in the field.

The published box is importnat, if you do not tick this box, the image will not appear. Title can also be left blank, but helps with searching. THen there is the box labeled 'browse' this is where you browsr your computer for the image you would like to upload. Very simple.

After you have completed everything you want, just click 'insert' on the lower right. It should take you back to the article and once there, just save the article.
