Agenda: - discuss open meeting re: putting word out, structure, date, venue

Monday march 4 or Tuesday march 5 proposed, 7:30 pm, depending on availability of space at jinbonet office or mediact.

Ne: what do we do to make sure people will come? Who do we want to come? D: Korean activist groups/foreign activists. Na/c: what foreign activists??? <<silence>> Ne: we should begin with activist groups so as to establish a strong Korean base. Na/c: we should be careful with the “organizing foreign activists” approach: we don’t want to fall into the base21 trap. Ne: need to be careful with our pitch: don’t want to scare people off because they think being involved with imc will take a big investment of time and effort. Rather, should present it as a TOOL and they should use that tool to further their movement and activities. We should differentiate ourselves from “activist groups’ here that require a huge commitment, time and energy. “we are building this for you so come and learn about it”. Or minimally, write stories. Na: what is the structure of the meeting going to be? All: the presentation should be heavy on the visuals to demonstrate imc. So we need a computer projector and internet access. Ne: we should walk through the site: not a power point presentation but a guided walk through to demonstrate the awesome potential of imc korea. Na: we need to outline the basic skeleton of the core group…we need a technician. Don’t want to make it a passive presentation…we want to organize people into imc. Need to make it inspiring. All: propose a three part presentation: 1. dope gives an inspiring talk about imc. 2. demonstation of imc main page plus various kickass imcs, mahbub, nancy at least, and whoever else who wants to discuss some of the cool activities at imcs around the world. 3. nevin: discuss principles of unity/ organization.

Commitments: All: deep research on imc sites looking for really cool stuff (special project groups, community groups, radio, etc. that we can show to those in attendance. D: write invitation/check availability at jinbonet C: check availability at mediact/work on a logo Ne: email jong and ask about basic structure/check into making buttons and stickers. All: continue discussion over email list.
