Interviews and footage
Aotearoa:
We should interview: Otepoti Underground
We have already interviewed artist/activist Paula Brand / Miss Moon, basically about how we don't actually have free assembly, and public spaces are only for shopping and cars. and how capitalism likes art to be contained inside galleries
Newcastle:
The
this is not art festival in Newcastle in October 2004 and the offshoots associated with it.
Melbourne
S T A T E O F E M E R G E N C Y 21-24 May:::2004
Apparently someone in Melbourne has footage of this - we need to track it down!
Civil - we need to interview him again re: tips and advice
Texta - we just did a quick interview with her about squat space, we really should do another more in-depth one
We also got footage of inside some wharehouses/factories in melbourne, and still pics.
Sydney
We need to find footage of performances Miss Moon did in Sydney. Stacey may have a contact for this.
Adelaide
We have an interview of 'anarchist cat woman' : ) who does paste ups. and hopefully more footage coming. rockin.
today dollyoko and friend walked around the city with a video and stills camera following a kind of treasure map of paste-up/graf sites given to us by 'anarchist cat woman' -- so that's some more fresh stuff for the project
Perth
We should interview someone in Perth who did situationist stuff.
And also find out if we can use that billboard footage.
Music
- upbeat optimistic stuff
- Organarchy
- non bosse posse
- political hip hop
- public enemy?
Other things to consider
- as fantastic as spraypaint is :), we have to be actively trying to get footage and interviews that doesn't centre around spraypaint
