Currently, there are two different methods by which people have access to things in listwork:

Mailman site password

The mailman site password is one password that can be used at any mailman password prompt to gain access. It allows listworkers to go to the web list configuration page for a list and look at configuration variables, and change them if needed, it also allows us to look at subscribers, archives, and anything that the list administrator can see we can see. We most often use this to change a list's password, or to see what is wrong with a list's configuration. The following people currently have the Mailman site password:

MicahA - Micah setup the machine, got it online, makes sure it stays up, works on system administration tasks to keep the machine alive, brings it back up when it goes down, transitions mailman to newer versions, writes scripts to help listwork, fixes archives, etc.

mtoups - mtoups has done a lot of listwork, he was critical in getting the newer version of mailman installed (the one with international support), works tirelessly on spam problems, does system administration as well as listwork.

luis - luis does tons and tons of listwork, creating lists and helping users. we love luis!

pietro - create and graveyard lists. answer some emails with help request and idle on irc.

jb- doing random listwork stuffs.

patrick - Simple listwork tasks.

bht- i am here to stir some shit. doing graveyard work and trying to make listwork/lists.indy a better more easily manuevered place. whoop!

pabs- mainly doing mailman patches and the occasional list/alias creation stuff, and prodding folks

ana - i started with graveyarding work and now I help out with SOS.

Alster - I make sure there's always enough trouble so people don't get bored.

Bertagaz - Initially got access to sarai to administrate sos.indymedia.org's aliases, as sarai is its mail relay host. Now a member of the listwork group, too.

Anthony - After many years as a list admin, I started doing listwork in late 2006. I create new lists, change list passwords for admins but mostly discard the huge amount of spam sent to the list request tracking system.

toya - I have access since 2004, I believe. I help with tickets. so i need access to get some requests done, that can only be done on the server. My next step is to help with some sysadministration tasks

Access to the list server

The lists.indymedia.org server (affectionatly known as sarai) is a multi-user linux system that listworkers and system administrators have access to in order to perform listwork tasks, and system administration tasks. We are trying to find ways to minimize this access, so not everyone has root, but some just have listwork access to deal with listwork problems and root if they are doing system administration. However, if they have listwork access, then they have access to the archives. People who have this type of access are:
