This box was found by
DannyP while he was going through the trash in early 2004. It first ran
OpenBSD? but is currently running Debian Linux.
2006-11-17 - 120GB drive taken from Lucy and moved to Newton, fresh debian sarge install added.
usage
This box is currently located in WRCT but may be relocated should the need for it to be elsewhere arise.
Currently in UC 303C, may be moved to TMC soon. Hosting
archive.indypgh.org with rustbelt radio archives.
problems/todo
- newton's CMOS battery has failed so every time it loses power, it resets the BIOS on boot and won't continue booting until someone presses F1. this is annoying if we want the machine to be up. so we should replace the battery, it is one of those small flat round ones. hell, maybe we could even take one out of another unused computer...
