IMC-Tech meeting : New IMC Tech Volunteers and Server/Hosting offers, 2005

Minutes

The number of people present oscillated between 15 and 20, with a fair number of "new" people (around 5, depending on what your definition of "new" is).

A summary of the needs was made, essentially a summary of the GlobaltechVolunteerNeeds page.

The working groups needing workforce presented their state and needs:

• ImcDocs (todo list: ImcDocsTodo)
• ListworkWorkingGroup (todo list: ListWorkTodo)
• GlobalWebsite (todo list)
• IrcDWorkingGroup (todo list: IrcDWorkingGroup#TODO)
• ImcDatabase (see also: here, here and here)

Additionnaly, two working groups that doesn't exist yet but need to be formed have been presented:

• SoS : see RTTwoHowTo and RtFAQ for mode details.
• KeyServer

Some people have taken responsabilities to form these groups.

Concerning the points of server management, the decision agreed on was this one: link (that is selling old machines to buy a new one for hosting docs.indy, the one bought being this one: link) ; so, a mail proposing that is going to be sent to imc-sysadmin list, to see if this proposal reach an agreement there. For the hosting of keys.indy and rt.indy, it was decided that the groups newly formed are going to discuss and make a proposal to deal with that.
