A Page Layout (menus, bars, etc)

Configuration

Below are the list of settings that the user can choose from for each configured data object of the Page Layout module.

Configurable Settings

1	Name	The Name of this Page Layout. - This will also appear as the HTML title on top of the browser and will appear as part of the page title in search engine listings - keep it short and meaningful!	text	Mandatory Field. Plain Text Only.
2	Description	A short description of this Page Layout. - This will be added into the HTML meta tag for the page in question and is important for search engines, so use several specifically descriptive words that match the content of the object. This will also appear on the management screens for this site. It is a good idea to give a brief description which will enable you to quickly identify which entries are which in lists of objects.	textarea	Mandatory Field. Plain Text Only.
3	Image	An icon file associated with this Page Layout. - This allows you to link to the Page Layout with an image instead of a text string. Enter the name of a valid local file.	text	Optional Field. Plain Text Only.
Page Layout Basic Information
4	Page Style	The stylesheet class that will be applied to the overall page - This allows you to apply a stylesheet class to the major structure of the page. You will need to define this class (particularly the div element) in the site style sheet.	text	Optional Field. Plain Text Only.
Tabular Layout
5	Use Tabular Layout	Use a table for basic page layout - Do you want to use a table for the main columnar layout instead of a div? This is an old fashioned and less sophisticated way of laying out pages, but it is easier to make it work! If you do not tick this box, a pure-css page structure will be created using divs for the major structure of the page instead of a table.	checkbox	On / Off
6	Include Empty Left Column?	If the left column is empty, should it be included anyway? - If you don't check this box, an empty left column will disappear	checkbox	On / Off
7	Include Empty Right Column?	If the right column is empty, should it be included anyway? - If you don't check this box, an empty right column will disappear	checkbox	On / Off
Header Layout
8	Header Style	The stylesheet class that will be applied to the page header - This allows you to apply a stylesheet class to all elements in the header. If you do not specify a class, the overall page class will be used. Each individual entry in the header can have a different style sheet class, this defines a default that will be used if you don't define such a class.	text	Optional Field. Plain Text Only.
9	headercontained	Can include objects from the following modules: bar, box	object-listing
Left Column Layout
10	Left Column Style	The stylesheet class that will be applied to the left column - This allows you to apply a stylesheet class to all elements in the column. If you do not specify a class, the overall page class will be used	text	Optional Field. Plain Text Only.
11	leftcolumncontained	Can include objects from the following modules: menu	object-listing
Main Page Layout
12	Main Page Style	The stylesheet class that will be applied to the Main page section - This allows you to apply a stylesheet class to the elements in the page. If you do not specify a class, the overall page class will be used	text	Optional Field. Plain Text Only.
13	mainpagecontained	Can include objects from the following modules: box, bar	object-listing
Right Column Layout
14	Right Column Style	The stylesheet class that will be applied to the right column	text	Optional Field. Plain Text Only.

Footer Layout
16	Footer Style	The stylesheet class that will be applied to the page footer	text	Optional Field. Plain Text Only.

Access Control for this Page Layout
Protect this Page Layout from unauthorised users and from being used in other sections of the site
18	Protected	Should This Page Layout be hidden from the public? - Check this box if you want this Page Layout to be only visible to editors on the site. This can be useful for keeping certain pages hidden from public view.	checkbox	On / Off
19	Shared?	Should This Page Layout be available to add to menus etc on other sections of this site? - Shared Data Objects can be added to menus, lists, pages and so on throughout the site, no matter what section the page that includes them is from. Objects that are not shared are only available within the site section where they are owned.	checkbox	On / Off
