basic information on how to contact the translation working group
Hi ,
You can reach us in different ways:
- - by our mailing lists:
we have an international mailinglist:
translation@lists.indymedia.org
it's open and you can subscribe on
http://lists.indymedia.org/mailman/listinfo/translation (It's mainly
used for technical and organisational development of the translation
tool, not for translation requests)
and we have lots of language specific mailinglists in the indymedia
network: see
http://lists.indymedia.org/#Translation. Here we get
translation requests ("todo")
The german
www-de@lists.indymedia.org gets at the moment all requests
posted on the website (see below) in all languages
- - by our website on
http://translations.indymedia.org
maybe you already know the Translation Tool that we use parallel to
the translation mailing lists. It can be used freely by
indy-translators, no accounting is needed for this. A short intro how
to use it can be found in the left column of the startpage, more ifos
can be found in english, french and german in the User Guide:
http://docs.indymedia.org/view/Devel/TranslationToolUserGuide
- - and last but not least you will find translators in the
#translationtool irc-channel (server: irc.indymedia.org) We speak
about all translation problems there (concerning softwaretools,
exchange contacts, help each other with translations and organise
whatever has to be done)
We would be glad to hear from you!
Best wishes
