Statement of purpose
The Volunteer list and wiki are for new ideas, and great documentation that relate to finding, mentoring, and retaining indymedia volunteers.

Goals

• provide information about how to volunteer
• provide information on:
  • current volunteer coordination and outreach activities
  • best practices documents
  • public contact information
• Participate in the development,and use of:
  • ImcGettingInvolved
  • http://volunteer.indymedia.org
  • ImcDatabase - the contact database

Non-Goals

(Stuff we are NOT working on)

• Match volunteers with specific volunteer projects, or guide them through specific projects.
• Find or mentor volunteers.
