• Copertura regionale: Il collettivo - che partecipa alla stesura consensuata di questo form - \xE8 nato sostanzialmente dal precedente gruppo che ha gestito il nodo locale "calabria" sul sito italy.indymedia.org. Dopo la decisione del network nazionale di "delocalizzarsi" tramite la creazione di siti locali - con l'obiettivo di avere maggiore presenza nel territorio - \xE8 stata creata una mailing list per coordinare tale gruppo. Si cerca, di coinvolgere ancora pi\xF9 persone e gruppi, per avere la massima copertura geografica territoriale, spingendosi, magari oltre il territorio regionale (come ad esempio alla vicina regione lucana).
• Copertura tematica: I temi da discutere e affrontare dalle persone che intendono costituire la locale comunit\xE0 di indymedia sono: #ambiente, #processo contro attivisti no global in seguito ai fatti del G8 di Genova nel 2001, #miganti, #antifascism"i", #precariato sociale. Ovviamente siamo interessati ad interessarci a tutte le tematiche che riguardano la Calabria, nell'ottica glocale. Desideriamo diffondere tra la gente l'utilizzo di indymedia per fornire a chiunque nel territorio, uno strumento alternativo per la comunicazione, libera da intenti propagandistici.
• Copertura evento: Si aprir\xE0 un mediacenter in occasione della chiusura del processo contro attivisti no global, in seguito ai fatti del G8 di Genova nel 2001. Non si escludono altre iniziative con apertura di un mediacenter, in collaborazione con realt\xE0 antagoniste locali, per garantire ad altri eventi meritevoli, una copertura mediatica libera dai condizionamenti e dalle distorsioni dei canali informativi tradizionali.
• Date critiche: Chiusura processo al "Sud Ribelle-No Global", prevista per fine 2007, inizio 2008.
• Gruppi di supporto: vecchio gruppo di indymedia, singoli attivisti, radio comunitarie, spazi sociali liberati, centri sociali, organizzazioni ambientaliste.
• Si scriva per favore un'asserzione introduttiva sul perch\xE9 volete partecipare alla Rete di Indymedia: Il nostro obiettivo \xE8 dare la possibilit\xE0 a qualsiasi persona di essere il proprio media in modo da spezzare l'informazione mainstream, guidata da lobbies e potentati, proni quasi esclusivamente alla conservazione del loro status e al profitto fine a s\xE8 stesso.
• Con che tipo di risorse potete contribuire in termini di server/larghezza di banda/abilit\xE0 tecniche ed organizzative? C'\xE8 l'intenzione consensuata di condividere un server, e relativi costi di mantenimento, insieme agli altri nodi imc italiani. Tra noi ci sono, seppur pochi, esperti informatici in grado di mantenere il server e disposti a condividere le proprie conoscenze tecniche con altri attivisti del gruppo.
• Quali attivit\xE0 di portata sociale avete condotto per riunire un gruppo diverso di persone? In passato, quando c'\xE8 stato il vecchio nodo calabrese di indymedia italia, che ha organizzato alcuni workshop e banchetti informativi. Spesso, a molti di noi, \xE8 capitato di discutere di indymedia per le strade tra la gente. Attualmente si sta discutendo sulle strategie idonee per diffondere nel nostro territorio la conoscenza dello strumento di indymedia.
• In che modo la composizione del vostro collettivo riflette la diversit\xE0 della comunit\xE0 locale (es. in relazione al genere, all\x92inclinazione sessuale, spirituale e/o culturale). Il gruppo, essendo al suo interno culturalmente molto omogeneo, non rappresenta tutte le componenti sociali della comunit\xE0 locale. Anche se all'interno vi sono persone abbastanza attive nelle realt\xE0 sociali calabresi.
• Se il vostro gruppo non rappresenta attualmente la diversit\xE0 della comunit\xE0 locale, particolarmente in relazione a gruppi che non sono rappresentati come dovrebbero nella societ\xE0 convenzionale e a coloro a quali si nega accesso a veicoli di espressione, che passi saranno presi per sistemare tale questione? Si pensa a compensare questa mancante articolata diversit\xE0 nel gruppo con una maggiore presenza nelle iniziative a scopi sociali e organizzando attivit\xE0 di sensibilizzazione verso l'uso e la filosofia di indymedia attraverso Workshops&Meetings rivolti a soggetti o gruppi di soggetti che nella cosiddetta "societ\xE0 convenzionale" sono sottorappresentati.
• Che passi saranno presi per coinvolgere individui in temi che per essi costituiscono una novit\xE0? Che misure saranno prese per superare la divisione del lavoro per generi? Per il primo punto vedi la risposta alla domanda precedente. Per il secondo punto, il problema non si pone.

• Regional Focus? The collective \x96 that is participating in the drafting of this form \x96 was born from the precedent group that has managed the page of the local category "calabria" on the site italy.indymedia.org. After the decision of the national network of "delocalizing itself" toward local sites, with the objective to have greater presence in the territory, a mailing list has been created for coordinating such group. We are trying to involve even more people and groups, because we want to reach a coverage of Calabria as much complete as possible, pushing even over the regional territory (e.g.: into the near region Lucania).
• Issue Focus? The people who are getting involved in the creation of the local community of indymedia, are intended to discuss and face the following themes: environment, trial against no-global activists after the facts of the G8 in Genoa in 2001, immigration, antifascisms, social precariousness. We are interested to focus us on all the thematics that concern the Calabrian territorial area. We desire therefore to spread among the people the use of indymedia to furnish whoever in the territory with an alternative tool for the communication, free from propagandist intents.
• Event Focus? We intend to open surely a mediacenter on the occasion of the closing of the trial against no-global activists, after the facts of the G8 in Genoa in 2001. Other initiatives are not excluded, with opening of a mediacenter, in collaboration with local antagonistic realities, to guarantee to other events a media coverage, which is free from the conditionings and from the distorsions of the traditional and conventional comunication medias.
• Critical Dates? Closing of the trial "Sud Ribelle" (Rebel South)
• Supporting Groups: old group of indymedia, single activists, community radio, freed social spaces, social centers, environmental organizations
• Please write an introductory statement about why you want to participate in the Indymedia Network. Our objective is giving the possibility to any person to be own media so that to break the information mainstream, driven by Masonic lobbies and potentates, inclined almost exclusively to the maintenance of their status and to an ending profit to itself .
• What kind of resources can you contribute, in terms of server/bandwidth/technical and organizing skills? There is the intention to share server and relative costs of maintenance, together to other Italian IMCs. Among us there are experienced , though few, computer experts who are able to maintain the server and supposed to share own technical knowledges with other activists of the group.
• What kind of outreach have you done to bring together a diverse group of people? In the past, when there has been the old Calabrian regional category of indymedia italia, we have organized some workshops and informative banquets to attract as much people as possible to the project of indymedia. Often it happened to many of us to discuss of indymedia on the roads, among the people. Currently we are discussing on the fit strategies to spread in our territory the knowledge of the tool of indymedia.
• How does the makeup of your collective reflect the diversity of the local community (e.g. in realtion to gender-, sexual-, spiritual-, and/or cultural-identity)? The group, which is culturally very homogeneous inside, doesn't represent all the social components of the local community. Even if, inside the group, there are enough people involved actively in the Calabrian social realities.
• If your group currently does not represent the diversity of the local community, particularly in relation to groups who are underrepresented in mainstream society and denied access to vehicles of expression, what steps will be taken to address this on an ongoing basis? We think to compensate this lacking articulated difference in the group with a greater presence in the initiatives to social purposes. We would want to organize activities of sensitization toward the use and the philosophy of indymedia through Workshops&Meetings for individuals or groups of individuals that in the so-called "conventional society" are under-represented.
• What steps will be taken to involve individuals in workfields new to them? What measures will be taken to overcome a gendered work division? For the first question one can see the answer to the previous one. For the second question, the problem is not set.
