Mayday Independent Media Centre

IMC London has asked that IMC Mayday wiki pages are set to uneditable, see the email from bou dated 28th May 2011, for more on this see ImcUkSheffieldChrisWitchHunt. These pages will probably be migrated to https://wiki.indymedia.org.uk/

The Mayday Indymedia collective used the open imc-mayday-collective list for organising and the #mayday channel on irc.indymedia.org and we have open meetings — feel free to get involved! But you may have to search elsewhere to find us.

The Mayday Indymedia Collective was originally formed as the UK IMC Collective and was renamed following the agreement to fork at the last meeting of Indymedia UK in Bradford in December 2010, see the statement we read out at the meeting.

The Mayday Indymedia Collective has applied to the global New IMC process and we intended to take over running a copy of the http://www.indymedia.org.uk/ UK Indymedia site on 1st May 2011 at mayday.indymedia.org but due the New IMC application being blocked and an attempt to shut down the site we have ended up being one the the collectives running a copy of the UK Indymedia site but still at www.indymedia.org.uk.

Meetings

The Mayday collective has a policy to publish links on this page to minutes from face to face meetings, and iRC meeting transcripts (condensed into key discussions, proposals, and decisions) in order to provide full transparency. Draft minutes are posted to the imc-mayday-collective email list where amendments can be made by all collective members.

Our next meeting will be held in Sheffield on 22nd May 2011.
