Version 2

To the proud peoples of the lands, culture and customs in the Pacific. Much Respect.

:: Indymedia - what's that? ::

We would like to introduce you to indymedia. The Independent Media Centre (IMC) is a network of collectively run media outlets for the creation of independent, radical, accurate, and passionate tellings of peoples' struggles. We work out of a love and inspiration for people who continue to work for a better world, despite corporate media's distortions and unwillingness to cover the efforts to free humanity.

It\x92s an opportunity for the grassroots to speak and be heard. This is a people driven opportunity to report and tell the world of your life and struggles and resistance.

It is our goal to further the self-determination of people unheard and under-represented in media production and content. We seek to bring voice to illuminate and analyze local and global issues that impact ecosystems, communities and individuals.

We should have no doubt that the Pacific and all its natural resources will be up for exploitation big time, no matter the impacts on lands, peoples and culture.

Who else understands our stories and struggles but us? We are an alternative to corporate and profit driven media. Each Indymedia Centre has their own website where everyone can post the stories (in a variety of media) of their struggles.

Have a look at the homepage of the Aotearoa Indymedia Centre - www.indymedia.org.nz

We are looking forward to your involvement and our shared commitment to an independent and free Pacific.
