Wednesday 14 March 2012
from 7pm until 9pm
(Our meetings are also announced on Oxford IMC. So, if the date here is a long time ago please check the Oxford IMC date as we have probably just forgotten to update this site.)
If you are unable to edit this page, please send your agenda suggestions to imc-oxford [at] lists.indymedia.org or oximc [at] riseup.net
Put you ideas for what we should be talking about here. The final agenda (including the running order) will be decided at the meeting by those that turn up. It might be useful if you briefly describe the items and give a rough indication of how long it will take.
When you add items, please make sure to include a description that will be understood by people that are not familiar with Oxford Indymedia and/or tech speak.
2. Set agenda (5 mins)
3. Confirm date of next meeting and who will announce and book it (5 mins)
This page is suggested items. We decide the actual agenda on the night of the meeting.
4. Review of action points from last meeting (5 mins)
Have they been done, do people need help doing them, etc.
Main agenda points
5. Website stuff
5.1 Going live
What needs to be done before the site goes live? Who's gonna do it? When? Can other things wait for later updates?
5.2 SSL certs
What should we do to get https?
Should we? (e.g. Tweet new content)
Do we want to associate with
TTfA?
http://pxr5.ttfa.net/ (site under construction!)
Several Ox IMCers are actively involved - does Ox IMC want to be a 'formal' part of it?
7. Features
Anybody got any ideas for new features?
8. Fundraising
Will need to do some if we want to donate to our hosts (and pay for publicity). Ideas? Link in with film screenings?
How to respond to this email ...
Hello, I'm a technician member of Indymedia Barcelona and we want to
know if your collective can share server space for our (maybe mirror)
IMC website, and if we together can talk about the security, technical
and economic relationship.
For us, the optimal solution is to share a physical server managed by
Indymedia trusted people, to have inside our own virtual server. This is
without discarding to take a new server between several collectives and
deploy a new shared hosts system.
Post meeting
After the meeting, several of us often go for a quick drink in a local pub. You're more than welcome to join us.
