Indymedia is an alternative news web site for people fed up with the mainstream news and its corporate bias, misreporting, censorship and omissions.

Indymedia reports on local, national and international events and isn't influenced by governments, corporations, media barons or political parties.

Indymedia grew from a single web site in 1999 to a huge network of sites across the world today.

Sheffield Indymedia is one of ten new UK Indymedia sites run by volunteers.

Indymedia reports are from anyone with Internet access with news or a story to tell \x97 in other words, you and me!  We also show films :o)

So get in touch if you want to write news stories, take photos, shoot videos, make radio programmes, organise events or help with our website.
