For many stories, interviews will be an obvious choice. But for an Indymedia bod, interviews are going to be different than for a 'proper journo'.

For a start, if you do go and interview someone, be sure to take them one of the SheffieldIMCDoItYourself flyers so that they're empowered to write their own story, and know how to comment on anything we write.

If possible, show them the site on a PC.


By going onto google (www.google.com) and typing in sheffield quangos i have gained accessed to a huge peice of research. When using the internet one should always be aware of the source of the information and the date. No point using an essay by a 12 year old belgium kid which was written 10 years ago, but using a peice of research by sheffield university that was written a few years ago could be very relevent.

Writing Skills and Tips

A collection of useful tips and innovative methods created by the workshop persons themselves.

This should include a vast array of pictures, photos, audio and video files, etc. under creative common licence. (For multimedia writing).
