Where?
Some general criteria for a location where put forward, as well as some specific locations.
Please add the pros and cons of the different places.
General criteria
- Outside the EU? visa regulations...
- Easy to reach? how far from other events?
- Climate: warm and dry, but not to hot preferably
- space for how many people to sleep? in rooms or tents?
- rooms for working groups and plenary?
- kitchen? Local groups that could cook?
- technical equipment, internet access etc?
- restrictions for possible dates?
- Contact persons?
Zagreb (Croatia)
- town of pioneers near Zagreb

- it's in the surbubs of zagreb, and now it's a youth camp..., it's cheap, and they are interested in summercamp, so we could even get a discount.... infrustructure functions well there..., so majority of problems would be solved...
- all kinds of facilities available (big conference room, cinema room, sport resort)
- suitable for seminars, meetings and educational activities
- bed + breakfast = 135 kn, 165 kn - with all 3 meals (1E = 7.7kn), discount to be discussed
Samogar (Vis, Croatia)

Old military camp, currently in possesion of town of vis but availability unclear as it is supposed to be soled. Has space for up to 500 participants, and enough space for numerous working groups. AWalking distance from the beach.

Monteparadiso (Pula, Croatia)
Pula would
not be possible
unless done in combination with Transhackmeeting (
thk), just because it would become too much for the locals to handle another independent meeting.
old military barracks, part of which is occupied by numerous groups, among which hacklab. In summer a lot of people are circulating in the Rojc building, so it will be impossible to control everything. Half an hour walk from a beach. Recently hosted the
EYFA Wintermeeting, so there is some infrastructure and know-how to do it, and even more will probably be after the
Transhackmeeting end of June

Greece
!!! GREECE APPEARS IMPOSSIBLE FOR A LOT OF PEOPLE THIS SUMMER !!!
Greece has been put forward in general, because there were plans to make a meeting for Balkan and mediteranian IMCs (but that has been cancelled). Volunteers from IMC Athens offered help in organizing. No location spezified.
- EU country and therefore problematic for visa, and even impossible for people with iraqui passport
- Easy to reach? how far from other events?
- Climate: probably to hot in summer for North-Europeans and small children
- 2 possible camping grounds were put foreard
- rooms for working groups and plenary?
- kitchen? Local groups that could cook?
- technical equipment, internet access etc?
- restrictions for possible dates? olympic games. recommended shortly before the PGA meeting (23-29 July)
