About me...
I've been involved as a volunteer with Indymedia since April 2000.
Globally, I'm a member of the imc-process moderation team. I also try and help out in process issues that come up on imc-resolve and imc-us-process. We're fortunate to have a yearly regional gathering of Indymedia collectives here in the NE US (organized on the imc-nena list), and I try to make those gatherings when I can.
My local imc collective is the Washington, DC Indepent Media Coop (
http://dc.indymedia.org). I was one of the founding members of the collective, and over the years I've worked on video, photo, editorial, tech, and space & finance working groups. For a variety of reasons, while I still do global indymedia work, I'm currently not volunteering my time or labor with the DC collective. Perhaps we'll start a second collective in DC sometime soon. It's needed.
Outside of Indymedia, I'm an adjunct professor here in DC. I teach undergraduate and graduate courses in conflict resolution, along with some ecclectic interdisciplinary social science courses.
